Ever grabbed the hot handle of a pot or skillet while cooking? If you’re using cookware with hollow handles on a gas burner, this can become a regular occurrence. Stuff the handle with crumbled aluminum foil. The foil interrupts the heat flow from the burner to the handle. This will keep the handle cool enough to touch without an oven mit.

Keeping Asparagus Fresh

Stand asparagus bundles up in about an inch of water in a jar or glass in the refrigerator. Cook the spears within 2 to 3 days.
